Wolf Pack star Sarah Michelle Gellar shares the first photo from the upcoming Paramount+ series, confirming when it will debut.
Sarah Michelle Gellar, star of the upcoming series Wolf Pack, shares the first photo from the upcoming Paramount+ drama and confirms the premiere month. Based on the book series by Edo Van Belkom, Wolf Pack centers around two teenagers — Everett (Armani Jackson) and Blake (Bella Shepard) — and chronicles what happens as their lives are forever changed in the wake of a California wildfire that awakens a terrifying creature.
The project is executive produced by Jeff Davis, who created the Teen Wolf series and wrote the upcoming follow-up film. The project got a significant boost in July when Gellar was revealed as the star and executive producer of Wolf Pack. The actress joined Davis and Teen Wolf leads Tyler Posey and Tyler Hoechlin at Comic-Con to discuss her return to the supernatural drama genre. Although there were a number of early reports that mentioned Wolf Pack as a Teen Wolf spinoff, Davis has since clarified that is not the case.
Although many details have yet to be revealed, Gellar has now shared the first look of her newest character. Posting on Instagram, the Buffy icon introduced fans to her Wolf Pack character Kristin Ramsey and revealed that the spinoff will premiere in January 2023. Check out the photo of Gellar as Kristin, which sees the actress in silhouette and wearing her work jacket, below.
Who Is Sarah Michelle Gellar Playing In Wolf Pack?
Gellar will play Kristin Ramsey in Wolf Pack. Highly regarded as an expert in her work as an arson investigator, Kristin is no stranger to personal loss. She’s brought in by authorities to catch the teenage arsonist that started the wildfire. Massive in its scale, that wildfire might have awoken an otherworldly predator that terrorizes Los Angeles. It marks Gellar’s first major role in almost a decade, generating plenty of attention due to Gellar’s close association with the seminal Buffy the Vampire Slayer series.
The actress recently remarked that, even though she had no intention of agreeing to Wolf Pack, the Buffy similarities ultimately drew her in. Gellar noted that the Paramont+ show was reminiscent of her famous vampire-slaying performances in terms of how it plans to delve into the problems facing high schoolers today. With the premiere now just months away, fans will be able to judge for themselves if Wolf Park earns the lofty comparison or whether it ultimately falls short.
