Lori Loughlin has beefed up security at her home after a recent burglary resulted in the theft of some very expensive jewelry.
Lori Loughlin took a heavy hit financially after her home was targeted by burglars. As reported by TMZ, the house Loughlin shares with husband Mossimo Giannulli was burglarized on January 3rd and was later discovered by a housekeeper. Loughlin and Giannulli were not home at the time and the police don’t yet know if their home was specifically targeted, possibly due to Loughlin’s celebrity status, or if it was a random burglary.
What police can say is that surveillance video was used to determine that multiple burglars were involved in the break-in. Wearing masks and all-black clothing, the thieves entered through a smashed bedroom window before making off with Loughlin’s jewelry box. The actress had reportedly lost about $1 million worth of jewelry. Cops’ working theory is that a South American burglary crew pulled off the heist as they’re known to carry out these kinds of crimes and then quickly fleeing the country.
Loughlin feels grateful that nobody was hurt in the incident. Because of the recent death of her longtime friend Bob Saget, Loughlin also isn’t feeling too upset over the burglary as she looks at things from a different perspective. She reportedly says that material things are not what’s most important to her, and that would be family and love. Meanwhile, Loughlin has beefed up security to monitor the house around the clock as cops continue to investigate.
Lori Loughlin Has Resumed Her Acting Career After Infamous Scandal
In 2019, Lori Loughlin and husband Mossimo Giannulli were named as part of a criminal probe into wealthy parents using bribery to get their children enrolled in prestigious universities. The pair eventually pled guilty to the crime and both did time in prison. When the news was first announced that Loughlin was facing legal trouble, she was swiftly fired from her role as Becky on the Netflix series Fuller House. Hallmark also gave her the boot from the show When Calls the Heart.
Loughlin has since resumed her acting career and is back on television. She recently appeared in GAC Family’s When Hope Calls, reprising the role she played on When Calls the Heart. The role was as a guest star but it’s always possible the character will return in the future. There are no apparent plans for her to return to When Calls the Heart and Fuller House has since ended, but it seems likely we’ll continue to see Loughlin pop up elsewhere after making her comeback in When Hope Calls.
Behind the scenes, Loughlin has also sought to make things right by donating $500,000 to pay the college tuition fees for two unnamed students. This is the amount Loughlin and her husband were charged with spending to have their daughters fraudulently enrolled at USC. It was not a court-ordered decision and Loughlin seems to be hoping that this will help put the mistakes from her past behind her so she can get back to working regularly as an actress.
Tim Allen is back as Scott Calvin in a limited series that will serve as a continuation of the films.
